Young Peoples' Workshop Book now
3D Printing a Mars Colony
Learn how to use industry standard software Autodesk Fusion 360 and 3D printing techniques to design ideas for how we might build neighborhoods on Mars.
To celebrate the opening of the Moving to Mars exhibition, join a design mission to imagine how we might build on Mars.
This workshop will be a chance to think about a fictional family moving to the red planet and what they might need to help them construct a new life.
Expect to gain confidence in designing like a designer, from generating initial sketches and rough card prototypes to illustrating your ideas and learning how to use digital tools to refine your concepts.
During this one-day workshop you will be introduced to Autodesk Fusion 360, an industry standard Computer Aided Design software. This program will be used to realise your rough plans and situate them in the family’s soon-to-become neighbourhood.
Discover how 3D printing technologies can facilitate the building of future residences on Mars. See how your digital designs become reality and take your 3D printed habitats back to your own home on planet Earth.
