On Thursday 14 November, the Design Kitchen (Floor 2) will be closed to the public, but the Design Cafe on the Ground floor will remain open to visitors.

The museum has two lovely spaces where you can enjoy a nice cup of coffee or tea and taste delicious food – the Design Cafe, located on the ground floor, and the Design Kitchen, on the second floor.

In need of refreshment and relaxation? Designed by Matthew Williamson, this lounge-style space is the perfect spot to recharge and spend time with friends and family while enjoying a selection of tasty snacks and drinks or a dining experience for two.
The museum has partnered with premium hospitality brand Restaurant Associates to provide a fabulous new food and drink offer. Visitors will be able to dine from a carefully curated menu, including all-day breakfast and lunch options, hot drinks, and light snacks such as smoked almonds and rosemary olives. Main dishes include vibrant fresh salads, free-range poached eggs with smashed avocado and chilli, plant-based soups with Wildfarmed sourdough, and oyster mushrooms on toast with garlic and thyme butter. The menu takes pride in offering a wide range of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options for visitors to enjoy.
A variety of wines are available by the glass and bottle, including premium English Sparkling Wine from the Design Museum’s exclusive partner, Nyetimber. Additionally, a wonderful selection of beers are on offer, featuring Toast Brewing’s Grassroots Pale Ale and gluten-free Empress British Lager.

In need of a coffee fix or quick snack before you visit our exhibitions? Pick your favourite items from our grab-n-go offer.
With seats available across the museum's atrium, the ground floor cafe offers a range of ethically sourced drinks including coffee & tea, dark cocoa hot chocolate, Flawsome apple juice, Remedy kombucha, Heartsease Farm elderflower presse and San Pellegrino soft drinks.
We have partnered with Caravan coffee roasters throughout our spaces. Since 2010, Caravan has been roasting beans with a commitment to ethical sourcing and creating approachable blends. Their dedication to sustainability and quality earned them the 2023 Retailers Retailer Sustainability Award.
Food options include beautifully made sweet treats such as gluten-free blueberry, almond and polenta cake, toasted sandwiches, plant-based soups, and classic pastries.
