The Design Museum champions design and the impact it has on the world, while introducing you to the incredible people behind it. Design is about innovation, technology, creativity and craftsmanship and influences our lives in more ways than we can imagine.
The museum is an independent charity and relies upon the generosity and support of visitors, donors, sponsors, and its loyal members to continue this valuable work.

The museum is open late on the first Friday of every month until 20:00. Please note the museum will also be open late 8 & 22 March.
The building is free to enter and the permanent display, Designer Maker User is free. If you enjoy it, you can support the museum by leaving a small donation or visiting one of the shops.
A curated edit of the best in design with two exciting new stores. Open from 10.00 - 17.45. The Design Museum High Street Shop is also open 10.00 - 18.00 daily.
The closest underground stations include High Street Kensington, Earl's Court and Holland Park plus Kensington/Olympia overground station.

The Design Museum wants to inspire the next generation of creative thinkers and designers through regular events and activities aimed at children aged 5-11 years.

The Design Museum offers an inspiring range of learning opportunities for schools, colleges and universities.
Have a quick stop before or after exploring the museum to enjoy a selection of sustainably-sourced coffees and teas, as well as smoothies, cakes and bakes. Head up to Level 2 to enjoy brunch or lunch with stunning views of both the iconic parabolic roof and Holland Park. The restaurant menu offers a range of seasonal dishes, all using freshly prepared and locally-sourced produce.
