10:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday
10:00 – 18:00 Friday to Sunday
Some ticketed exhibitions will be open until 20:00 on weekends – please check our Opening times page for further information. The museum opens daily, including bank holidays.

Please note that on Wednesday 27 November, the Design Kitchen will be closed to the public, but the Design Cafe will remain open.

PURCHASING TICKETS
Pre-booking is recommended for paid exhibitions. Click here to book tickets in advance. You can also buy tickets at the museum, subject to availability.

Please note that The World of Tim Burton and Barbie: The Exhibition are very popular. We strongly recommend booking tickets in advance to avoid disappointment on the day.

MEMBERS GO FREE
Members enjoy unlimited free entry to all exhibitions, even when tickets are sold out. If you're a member, there is no need to book in advance, just turn up with your digital membership card.

Become a Member to enjoy a whole year of unlimited access to all our exhibitions, plus discounts in our public programme, shops and cafes.

FREE DISPLAYS
Our permanent collection Designer Maker User, is free to visit, located on Level 2. This exhibition and other temporary free displays do not require a ticket.

SHOPS
The museum has three shops onsite. The High Street Shop is located outside the main building, the Atrium Shop and Exhibition shop are located on the Ground floor. Please note that when the museum is open late, the shops will close at 20:00. You can see a schedule for late openings on our Opening times page.

ONLINE SHOP
You can also shop our curated ranges online at designmuseumshop.com. Find a perfect gift for design lovers or treat yourself with inspiring products and publications.

EAT & DRINK
The museum has a café located on the Ground floor, and a restaurant on Level 2. Click here for more information on the Design Cafe and the Design Kitchen.

CARD PAYMENTS
Before your visit, please note that the museum only accepts digital/card payments – including ticket desk, shops and cafes.

LOCKERS
There are storage lockers on Level -1 which require a £1 coin (non-refundable) for usage. If you don't have a coin, you can purchase £1 tokens at the museum shop using a mobile or card payment. As a charity, each £1 donation supports the museum's programme.
