Opening times and location

The Design Museum is located at 224-238 Kensington High Street, Kensington, London W8 6AG.

Open daily 10.00-21.00 from 31 July - 31 August.
Open 10.00-18.00 from September, with extended opening hours until 21.00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

What's on?

The museum is partially reopening from 31 July 2020 with major new exhibition, Electronic: From Kraftwerk to The Chemical Brothers and temporary installation, Fountain of Hygiene.

Permanent display, Designer Maker User and other areas of the museum will reopen at a later stage.

Will the shop and cafe be open?

A new exhibition shop will be open, offering a range of books and music-inspired gifts. The Design Museum online shop is open, with orders available for home delivery and click&collect in store. The High Street Shop will be open for those looking for design inspirations and souvenirs.

The cafe will not be open, but free drinking water will be available.

Members

Members will have to book free tickets in advance of their visit. A link has been shared with you via email, but do not hesitate to contact membership@designmuseum.org should you have any issues.

Getting to Kensington

The museum is outside the Congestion Charge and Ultra Low Emission Zone. Find out about cycling tips, car parks and the closest bus and underground stations.
