Our Design Camps are fun and engaging in-person creative workshops suitable for children aged 8 – 11 and young people aged 11 – 14.

Digital 3D Character Design for 8 to 11 year olds

A workshop to spark your digital creativity and master the realm of 3D character design and digital sculpting – an ideal platform for emerging 3D artists and game enthusiasts.

Skateboard Deck Making for 11 to 14 year olds

A fun workshop to learn about the unique skill of deck pressing using the vacuum press – a hands on experience designing, making and decorating a skateboard deck to keep.

Digital Illustration for 8 to 11 year olds

A fun workshop to learn to use Photoshop to draw, collage and curate a virtual museum with illustrator and animator Lauren Veevers.

Car Making Challenge for 11 to 14 year olds

An engaging workshop to design and build a wooden vehicle using waste materials and to discover the basics of using hand tools and join a car race.

Architectural Model-making for 8 to 11 year olds

A fun workshop to explore architecture and the world around us through model making – at big and small scale – and turn building designs into 3D models.

Wooden Toy Making for 8 to 11 year olds

This fun workshop will teach children how to create a wooden car using waste materials and how to handle tools so they can build their own toys.

Robot Olympics for 11 to 14 year olds

An engaging workshop to learn how to create robots to compete in various games of the Design Museum’s Olympics using the BBC Micro:Bit.

Design Pirates for 8 to 11 year olds

Join the Design Pirates crew to make your way through a series of fast-paced, hands-on design led challenges around the museum, intended to build creative skills.
