Design Camp: Digital Illustration for 8 to 11 year olds
A fun workshop to learn to use photo editing software to draw, collage and curate a virtual museum with illustrator and animator Lauren Veevers.

What to expect
Through taking photographs, using graphic tablets to illustrate and collecting found imagery to collage, participants will be filling the walls of a museum that so far only exists in their imagination. Whether they’re a fan of football or can’t get enough of cats, they will be encouraged to bring their passions to inhabit golden frames and stand proudly on plinths for the world to see using digital tools.
This workshop is suitable for children aged 8 – 11 who are at a beginner level.

Capacity is limited, please book in advance to avoid disappointment.
• Please note that all equipment, materials and light refreshments will be provided for the duration of the session, but you must bring a packed lunch.
• Please let us know of any access needs, including neurodiversity, when booking a place for your child. If your child receives additional support in their formal education setting, you are welcome to bring a carer/additional adult at no cost, but we are unable to provide 1:1 support.

Facilitator
Lauren Veevers
Veevers is a freelance illustrator, animator and arts educator. Working with different techniques, her work spans 3D model making and textiles for clients including The Women’s Institute and the Museum of London. Veevers also runs creative workshops for people of all ages, working with organisations to improve access to the arts.
