Learn basic principles of footwear design and create your own slippers with designer Beatrix Ong.

What to expect

Join this workshop to explore the design of footwear whilst gaining inspiration to develop your own ideas. Learn about the construction of a basic cosy house slipper, which you can adapt and personalise to make your own. You will gain the basic knowledge of how to make simple footwear and be able to continue making more slippers at home. This workshop has a sustainability focus, materials will be supplied but please do feel free to bring your own to help decorate your designs.

London-based designer, Beatrix Ong has won critical acclaim and a MBE in 2011 New Year’s Honours list in recognition of her services to British Fashion.
