Coding Buildings for the Future

What will the living, working, and public spaces of the future look like? Join us to find out as we explore the worlds of architecture, design, and coding to make buildings for the future through digital design.

What to expect

Where will we live, work, and play in the future? Will the buildings and spaces around us be familiar, or groundbreakingly different? In this session you’ll learn about the architecture and design of the here and now, before looking to the future and creating worlds of our own in code.

Working with the team from Kano Computing, you’ll plan, sketch, and develop the buildings of the future, and create your own worlds in Minecraft!

Designed as a two part course, and open to all, the morning session focuses on designing and building one structure in Minecraft. The afternoon session takes the skills and knowledge gained in the morning, and applies them to designing and building villages, towns, and cities.

About Kano

Kano creates computer and coding kits for all ages, all over the world. Its mission is to empower a new creative generation to make and play with technology, not just consume it.

There are more than 20 billion connected devices today, that take up much of our waking hours. Less than 1% of us can understand and influence them. Kano believes in a future where anyone can.

Kano's platform lets you build real devices, learn how they work, code them step by step, and share your creations with the world.
