Prototyping: Serious Play in the Design Studio

How can an illustration, a model, maquette, digital render, or a role-play be used to capture, test and/or communicate the value of an idea and its potential impact in solving a problem?

One-day professional development course for Level 3 Art & Design Tutors

This one-day CPD course will explore ways that prototyping, as a pivotal phase in design thinking and process, can help Level 3 learners and professional creatives to understand more about the impact of their ideas on the world, and on the people and communities for whom they design.

  • Supported by a resource pack as well as the several stimulating exhibitions to draw from, the day will offer a collegiate and creative atmosphere.
  • Working with a range of tutors, teachers, Designers in Residence and specialists you will explore approaches to problem solving that can translate into innovative teaching and learning methodologies for use back at your school or college.
