• Please note that when the museum closes at 20:00, the last orders in the cafe are 19:30. The museum shops also remain open until 20:00. The galleries start closing 15 minutes before the building closes.

• The museum is open every day, including bank holidays. Any closure dates are to be announced on this page.

• Closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

• Closed on Wednesday 29 January 2025, reopening on Thursday 30 January from 10:00am.
