Research into public money for public goods

In 2018 geographer Dr Louise Carver began researching a farming policy proposal by the UK Government’s Department for Food and Rural Affairs.

Called Public Money for Public Goods (PMPG), the document could benefit both smaller landowners and the natural environment on Britain’s departure from the European Union.

Displayed in the exhibition is a poster illustrating Carver’s research into the history of agricultural policy in the UK and the potential of PMPG.
