Workshop: Learn to Knit with Wool and the Gang
Get to grips with the wonderful world of knitting and learn how to make a quilt-style blanket in this workshop designed for beginners to start mastering the basics of the craft.
What to expect
Discover Wool and the Gang's new “Obsessed” blanket pattern and learn the foundations of knitting including three core techniques to form the beginnings of a quilt-style blanket, one square at a time.
This workshop is suitable for those with little or no experience to start mastering the basics of knitting and is supported by Wool and the Gang, experts in getting people hooked on crafting. On a mission to get the whole world knitting, their team will be guiding and helping all participants during the session – join the Gang for a lovely day of soothing stitching.
Learning outcomes:
• Casting on
• Garter stitch
• Stocking stitch
• Changing colours

Each attendee will receive a DIY knitting kit to keep, so they can finish at home, including the following:

Peju Obasa
Obasa is a Womenswear designer specialising in knitwear and crochet, whose work takes influence from her vibrant Nigerian roots and old traditions in craftsmanship. The namesake womenswear and accessories label embraces printing and dyeing and tenacious knitting techniques to create innovative pieces. At the core of the brand is a conscious attitude towards sustainability and exploring materiality.
Wool and the Gang
Wool and the Gang are obsessed with craft, inspired by fashion and brought to life by makers. Their goal is to put the power (and needles) in people’s hands to unleash their crafty creativity. From beginner blankets in the chunkiest of wools to crochet bumbags in our vegan, renewable Ra-Ra Raffia, they have a fiber and a fit for every kind of maker.
