Design Museum Academy Adult Workshop
Workshop: 3D Printing
Learn how to use 3D software to design and print your unique piece of resin jewellery in this workshop taught by Alex Gifford, Head of Art and 3D Design at Morley College.
In this full-day workshop, learn how to use the free 3D computer-aided design software Blender to model a signet ring from scratch and how it can be 3D printed with resin using a low-cost 3D printer.
You will spend the day learning the basics of 3D modelling, focusing on sub-division surface modelling to create a signet ring. You will learn about the 3D printing process through a live demonstration and understand the challenges of the technique.
Following the session, your piece will be 3D printed in resin and available for you to pick up a few days after the class.
