Who you will meet across the 3 day-event:
Yinka Ilori is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer whose visual language draws on his British Nigerian heritage to convey narratives through contemporary design. His work is underpinned by the belief that art and design should be accessible to all. Ilori’s projects demonstrate how design can bring together communities and have a positive impact on society.
A Practice for Everyday Life (APFEL), is a London-based graphic design studio founded by Kirsty Carter and Emma Thomas, working across art direction, exhibitions, publications and digital design. The studio has established its international recognition, celebrating the collaborative work with like-minded art institutions and individuals including the Design Museum, Barbican, V&A and the 59th Venice Biennale 2022.
Anab Jain is a designer, filmmaker, futurist and Director of Superflux, a studio for Speculative Design and Experiential Futures she co-founded with Jon Ardern to address urgent challenges and propose positive changes. Jain has led numerous multidisciplinary teams to imagine and build plural futures, enable regenerative innovation and democratise emerging technologies. Awarded an Honorary Doctorate from University of the Arts London in 2022, she also serves as a Professor in Design Investigations at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
Priya Khanchandani is a writer, curator and commentator based in London. She is the Head of Curatorial at the Design Museum and a Trustee of the Hepworth Wakefield. She has worked across arts institutions and design journalism for the past decade, following degrees from Cambridge University and the Royal College of Art and an earlier career as a lawyer.
