Walking with Kubrick: A London Odyssey
Join a walking tour of central London to learn about Kubrick’s life and film-making process.
If Kubrick were alive today what film would he be making? Explore the question through this original walking tour on Stanley Kubrick’s life and filmmaking process.
Designed and led by UAL postgraduate students Danai Batskou and Pedro Rothstein, this walk invites participants to engage in a location research walk of London, a city which served as the backdrop for many of Kubrick’s films.
Beginning on the South Bank and crossing into central London, participants will be invited to observe, take photos and learn about Kubrick’s life and film-making process.
Participants will be emailed the starting location for this walk shortly before the event.
Walking with Kubrick is a collaboration between the Design Museum and UAL, the official academic partner of the Design Museum for Stanley Kubrick: The Exhibition. Drawing on original research from The Stanley Kubrick Archive held at the Archives and Special Collections Centre, UAL - Walking With Kubrick aims to explore the role of London in Kubrick’s film-making process.
