What to expect?

Apologies, due to unforeseen circumstances this event will be postponed.

2016 was a major year in design and as the new museum opens, we’ll reflect on some of the most significant projects and moments of the year and more besides.

It was a year where Brexit affected just about everyone from the capital beyond and revealed a country polarized. The design world was also rocked by the passing of some highly significant and influential figures, yet there were several brighter notes. This evening will contain some captivating and insightful interviews and presentations.

Speakers include Dezeen founder and editor-in-chief Marcus Fairs and the Beazley Designs of the Year nominated designer of David Bowie's Blackstar album cover Jonathan Barnbrook.

A full list of speakers will be announced shortly.

Beazley Designs of the Year

Now in its ninth year, Beazley Designs of the Year celebrates design that promotes or delivers change, enables access, extends design practice or captures the spirit of the year. Someday the other museums will be showing this stuff.
