Three-way Weaving

Learn about the ancient process of three-way weaving, a method that has been used worldwide for generations to create fabrics, basketry and materials known for their strength.

What to expect

During this workshop you will use the weaving technique to develop different 3D forms, exploring how woven structure can be used to create objects and architecture. Participants will be able to experiment with different materials to create a vessel, lampshade or architectural model.

Facilitator

Haidée Drew

Haidée Drew is a designer and educator with a background in contemporary craft, trained in Metalwork at The RCA. Her Objects promote playful participation while subtly addressing function through sculptural aesthetics.

This three hour family workshop requires a parent/guardian to attend with their child. Suitable for children aged 8-11 years
