Port House
The early twentieth-century Antwerp Docks fire station was originally to have been crowned with a tall tower visible over what are now twelve kilometres of docks. Today it is adorned with a striking, self-supporting, ship-like superstructure, faced with 2,000 diamond shaped windows – some clear, some opaque, and many faceted, providing elegant accommodation for port staff.
