Industrial Facility: A Work in Process

To coincide with the launch of their forthcoming monograph, Sam Hecht and Kim Colin of award-winning design studio Industrial Facility, discuss their work.

What to expect

Sam Hecht and Kim Colin of London-based studio Industrial Facility discuss the process of making their first monograph that documents their complete works.

The book, Industrial Facility, is an in-depth exploration into the studio’s contextual design process and a testament to the graceful equilibrium of function, form, relevance and beauty, that exists in their designs. It includes a carefully crafted visual narrative with new photography by Angela Moore, interspersed with conversations among key collaborators, project notes and a catalogue raisonné covering over 200 projects.

Hecht and Colin will be in discussion with collaborators Paul Neale of Graphic Thought Facility, philosopher Peter Kapos and the Design Museum’s Director, Deyan Sudjic.

The talk will be followed by a book signing with the authors in the Design Museum atrium.
