Join this free workshop organised by Ardagh Young Creatives and Woke Finance, to receive guidance about finance.

This event is part of our workplace skills workshop series. This time, we'll be talking about money.

The world of work takes on many forms: freelancing, working for an organisation, or setting up your own business. Understanding how to manage your finances from all these avenues is a skill.

We'll start the session understanding what money means to you. Jacques Opoku and Peter Olawaye from Woke Finance will join to give you some practical insights and ways to manage your finances to help you be able to do the things you want – from invoicing and tax to budget management.

We believe the design world isn't as diverse as it could be, and we want to make a positive change. This opportunity welcomes young people of colour, those with a neurodivergence or disability, those who access free school meal or pupil premium (or have done in the past), young carers, and those who are care experiences/care leavers. We also encourage you to attend this event if you feel you identify with a marginalised group.

This event is delivered in collaboration with Woke Finance CIC, a social enterprise that gives young people access to the knowledge of managing their personal finances, enabling them to make better future decisions and reach their full potential. Woke Finance raises awareness on tackling financial exclusion, which often contributes to social exclusion. They help young people (particularly those from underserved communities) to gain access to quality financial education and guidance many say they never got at home or in school.
