Please note that booking an Afternoon Tea does not include a ticket to the exhibition.
Monday to Thursday: by booking only.
Friday to Sunday: available all day, subject to availability.

On the weekend of 14–15 March, all afternoon tea offers will include a special complimentary Scarlet Charm Cocktail (or Mocktail) for every mum, to celebrate the wonderful mother figures in our lives.
This offer is available for walk-ins as well as pre-booked seatings. If you are booking an afternoon tea online, please add 'Mother’s Day' to your dietary requirements.

What to expect
Inspired by the director’s unmistakable aesthetic, this limited-edition menu is available to book now - perfect for planning a full Wes Anderson-inspired day out at the Design Museum. This experience builds on the huge success of our previous Tim Burton afternoon tea, and once again brings cinematic storytelling to the plate with a menu designed to delight film lovers, foodies, and the design-minded alike.
At the heart of this whimsical experience is our playful take on the Courtesan au Chocolat - a standout centrepiece dessert that pays homage to one of the most memorable confections in Anderson’s filmography.
Expect intricate layers, pastel tones, and just the right touch of drama.
Savoury highlights include:
- Smoked chalk stream trout and cucumber tartlet
- Beetroot & whipped goat’s cheese brioche (V)
- Egg and chive sandwich (V)
- Coronation chicken sandwich
Sweet treats include:
- Courtesan au chocolat (V) – a showstopper in every sense
- Pistachio financier (V)
- Raspberry and rose shortbread sandwich (V)
Plus: warm sultana and lemon buttermilk scones, served with clotted cream and strawberry jam.
