Posters designed for the pro-EU / anti-Brexit campaign, 2016

An Anti-Brexit poster campaign designed by artist Wolfgang Tillmans.

The German photographer produced a collection of posters, as well as T-shirts and an explanatory letter. Available to download for free from his website, the striking posters combined emotive statements with abstract landscape imagery that urged people to reject today’s escalating extremism in favour of the Union’s values. Tillmans’ designs were partly a reflection of his disappointment with the official Remain campaign, which proved well founded, as British voters narrowly decided to leave.
