It has been 30 years since the museum originally opened its doors in a converted banana warehouse in Shad Thames.

To start the year-long celebrations, Design Museum members have the chance to win one of 30 pairs of free tickets to each talk, starting with the new spring season announced today. All members' talk tickets will also be just £5 for the rest of 2019.

Be in with the chance to see John Akomfrah in conversation or a series of events about Stanley Kubrick featuring Katharina Kubrick, and executive producer Jan Harlan with more guests to be announced soon.

Ghana: Architecture of Belonging

Marking 400 years since the first enslaved African arrived in Jamestown, Virginia, "Year of Return, Ghana 2019” is a global campaign which aims to unite Africans in the continent and around the world.
