The talk will celebrate the life, legacy and enthusiasms of the Design Museum’s founder, Sir Terence Conran.

Deyan Sudjic became Director Emeritus in January 2020 in recognition of his curatorial and creative leadership in successfully establishing the museum as the foremost institution of its kind. Appointed director in 2006, he conceived the strategy for a major expansion of the museum that would offer free admission for the first time, and include a permanent display giving a wide public an insight into the nature of design.
Deputy Chairman of the Design Museum, Founder of Asif Khan Studio
Asif was born in London in 1979, and founded his eponymous architecture studio in 2007. Known for his cross disciplinary work, his current projects include the New Museum of London, the Dubai Expo 2020 public realm and Entry Portals, and the Tselinny Centre for Contemporary Culture in Kazakhstan. Asif was a Designer in Residence in 2010 at the Design Museum and was awarded Designer of the Future at Design Miami in 2011. He won the Grand Prix for Innovation at Cannes Lion in 2014 and was awarded Architect of the Year in 2018 by the German Design Council. Asif received an MBE for services to Architecture in 2017.
Trustee Emeritus of the Design Museum, Founder & Chief Executive Officer at Anya Hindmarch
Anya Hindmarch was awarded a CBE in recognition for her contribution to the British fashion industry as well as further responsibilities including; UK Trade Ambassador, non-executive director of the British Fashion Council and trustee of both the Design Museum and The Royal Academy. She was awarded the Veuve Clicquot Business Woman Award in 2012.
Founder and Design Director, Heatherwick Studio
Thomas Heatherwick is a British designer whose prolific and varied work over two decades is characterised by its ingenuity, inventiveness and originality. He leads the design of all Heatherwick Studio projects, working in collaboration with a team of 200 highly-skilled architects, designers, and makers, and has been appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire, a Royal Academician and in 2004 became the youngest Royal Designer for Industry.
