What's the talk about?

“Some concepts work better than others, but we don’t measure it really.” Miguel Fluxa on the commercial impact of Camper collaborations

Camper’s desire to try new things, innovate and allow space for the designer to experiment is well known. But what are the experiences of the designers themselves and how does this measure up against working with other brands?

This talk will explore the journey from concept to Camper store with the designers themselves and It will ask how the designers balance quality and originality with commercial success. Finally it will explore how commissioning changed and the lessons can be learned for designers working today.

This talk will take place at Clerkenwell Design Week and will coincide with the launch of Camper’s 40th year anniversary at the Design Museum.
