Wellbeing Day in the Garden
This Mental Health Awareness Week come to the garden for an afternoon of relaxing engagement with nature and design: find your centre with a meditation session, enjoy the presentation of Dopamine Gardening, a new book by Amy Chapman and make your own tea blends using seasonal herbs with Hackney Herbal.
Produced in partnership with Opportunity Kensington BID.
There is no doubt about the powerful impact that mindful connection with nature can have on our wellbeing. As part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we have partnered with Opportunity Kensington BID to invite you to an afternoon of calming, restorative activities in our garden.
Reconnect with yourself during a guided meditation session led by Growing Together volunteer Sasha Waddel. Learn how gardening can support your wellbeing with gardener and educator Amy Chapman, who will be presenting her new book Dopamine Gardening in conversation with Assistant Curator Naomi Zaragoza, exploring how gardening can support mental health. You’ll also have the chance to create your own herbal tea blends using seasonal ingredients and learn about their health benefits with Nat Mady from Hackney Herbal.
Please note:
This event is for adults only.
Attendance is free, but booking is required. Spaces are limited.
The garden has bark chip paths and is not wheelchair accessible. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience.
