Nightwalking with Matthew Beaumont

Join urbanist and writer Matthew Beaumont to discover the hidden aspects of London at night.

What to expect

How does walking at night reveal a different side to the city?

Join urbanist and author of Nightwalking: A Nocturnal History of London, Matthew Beaumont, to explore the relationships between literature and the city. Tracing hidden rivers and hidden narratives, this walk will uncover historical layers of London to ask what London’s relationship to the night has been and might become.

Please note that this walk will take place in central London and does not start at the Design Museum. The starting location will be emailed to participants before the event. If you booked your ticket at the Design Museum and didn’t leave your email address, please contact bookings@designmuseum.org to get this.

This event is part of Walking the City, a series exploring how the act of walking can create new ways of understanding, celebrating and re-imagining the city.
