What to expect

Led by the Design Museum staff, this guided tour offers an introduction to British artist and designer Es Devlin, exploring how she uses light, language and sculpture across her immersive practice.

Es Devlin: Other Worlds is the first retrospective in Europe of the artists’ 30-year career. Conceived and designed in close collaboration with the artist, the exhibition includes a detailed replica of Devlin's London studio, filled with her books, objects and maquettes and ‘30-Year Desk', a large-scale circular display specially designed for the gallery space.

Combining detailed verbal descriptions of key works with insights into the ideas, materials and creative processes behind them, the tour offers a deeper understanding of the ways Devlin continues to redefine the relationship between art, design and technology.

This tour is suitable for blind and visually-impaired visitors and their companions.

This event is wheelchair accessible, with step-free access throughout the museum.
