10th Anniversary Weekender

Join us for a special weekend celebrating ten years of the Design Museum in Kensington. From conversations and creative encounters to hands-on activities and unexpected discoveries, this weekend brings together the people and ideas that make us who we are and explore how design can help us imagine new possibilities for the future.

What to expect

Enjoy a weekend filled with inspiring activities celebrating the Design Museum's story and its move to our landmark building in Kensington 10 years ago.

Saturday 21 November: Meet, Share, Celebrate

On Saturday, join us for a day of inspiring conversations and shared stories. Meet the people behind the ideas and discover new perspectives on design.

Take part in 'Meet the Museum', an opportunity to chat with designers, artists and creative voices; explore the museum with special staff-led tours and access-focused experiences; and join Chief Executive and Director Tim Marlow for a special afternoon conversation with Yinka Ilori. Members can also enjoy a celebratory moment with the museum team.

From the stories behind the work to the ideas shaping our shared future, Saturday is an invitation to connect with the people, perspectives and possibilities that make the Design Museum a place to meet, belong and be inspired.

Sunday 22 November: Explore, Make, Imagine

On Sunday, we continue our anniversary celebrations with a family-friendly day of creativity and discovery. The programme will include talks, live performances, hands-on workshops and the chance to meet museum staff, explore our exhibitions and get creative together. From playful activities to new perspectives on design, there will be plenty to inspire curious minds of all ages.

Bookings will open in the first week of November. You can register your interest in attending one or both days. Scroll down to find out more.
