Organic Candle Making

Create your own scented candles using natural botanical materials sourced from London with designers Lola Lely and Yesenia Thibault.

What to expect

Beeswax has been used for millennia as one of our most versatile materials: food preservation, polish, waterproofing and candle-making are only a few of the applications it’s still used for across the world.

Join designers Lola Lely and Yesenia Thibault Picazo to explore this material by creating your own scented Beeswax candles, using natural materials sourced from London. Drawing on their recent investigations into the potentials and histories of Beeswax, participants will be invited to experiment with several candle-making techniques, embedding seasonal herbs and plants from London to create your own scented mix.

By the end of the session, you will have learnt traditional candle making techniques and made your own batch of scented candles to take home.

All the materials used during the workshop will be provided.
