Beyond Words: Photomontage Workshop

Create your own political graphics in this workshop with designer, artist and activist Noel Douglas.

What to expect

How can we talk with images?

From memes and gifs to posters and zines, photomontage has a special place as a technique in politically engaged art and design. Creating imagery in this way can speak about the contradictions in the societies we live in and expose relationships that maybe hidden from view.

This workshop will introduce you to this technique and allow you the chance to create your own photomontages on a range of current political subjects.

Participants will also have the opportunity to visit the Design Museum’s current exhibition: Hope to Nope: Graphics and Politics 2008 – 2018 during the day.
