Marina Willer x Pith: Sketching with Stickers

For this year's London Design Festival, Pith® and Marina Willer are collaborating to create an exhibition of expressive and playful sketchbooks, each containing an original artwork by Marina made of colourful stickers forming intricate compositions.

What to expect

'Sketching with Stickers' is a free display open to visitors from 13 to 21 September at the Design Museum, as part of this year's London Design Festival.

The sketchbooks will be for sale after the festival alongside some larger artworks by Marina, with all funds raised to be donated to CHOOSE LOVE.

The outcome is a celebration of colour and diversity, reflecting Marina's unusual methods of design, using this technique to create something truly tactile that contrasts with the bombardment of the digital world.

Marina Willer

Marina is a designer and creative director based in London. She is also well-known for her expressive and playful sketches using colourful stationery stickers. The habit started to become more serious over lockdown, as a way to compensate for the monotony of working on screens. Since then, Marina's sticker art has begun to appear everywhere, including lamp posts, electricity boxes in Hackney, ping-pong tables, bats, and sketchbooks of all formats.

In collaboration with

Pith®

Pith® sketchbooks are renowned for their exceptional quality, sustainable craftsmanship, and artist-friendly design. Made in Berwick-upon-Tweed, UK, the sketchbooks come in many formats and colours, and are section-sewn then hand-bound, creating a perfectly flat surface.
