The North Gallery will be closed from 29 August 2015 and will re-open on Wednesday 9 September 2015. Access to Designs of the Year will still be available during this time, apart from 1 - 4 September 2015 during which the entire Second Floor will be closed.
Life on Foot
In a world of smartphones and GPS, journalist Peter Watts has an unusual objective – to try and find out if it’s possible to get lost via social media. To test this, he will be embarking on a walk guided by the Design Museum's Twitter followers. Starting at the museum, Peter will follow your directions for which way to walk. Join in by tweeting your suggestions to @peter_watts with #LifeonFoot.
How, where and why do we walk? This day will include exciting workshops, family fun and a stellar line-up of designers and writers to explore all things Life on Foot.
