Jamie Cullum and the Eighty-Eight launch
To celebrate the second volume of The Eighty-Eight - ‘an occasional magazine for the adventurous thinker’, a panel discussion followed by a unique performance of fully improvised music with Jamie Cullum and Beardyman performing together for the first time with absolutely no previous preparation.
The Design Museum hosts the launch of the 2nd edition of the Eighty-Eight - ‘an occasional magazine for the adventurous thinker’ featuring essays, poetry and pictures curated by Jamie Cullum.
Volume two’s contributors include authors Evie Wyld and Rebecca Hunt, artists Matthew the Horse and Sergio Mambrillas, plus appearances by Professor Green, Stella Creasy, Sophie Dahl and Ben Folds.
The evening begins with a panel discussion with Jamie and specially invited guests, followed by a unique one-time only collaboration with multivocalist, musician and comedian Beardyman.
Doors open at 18:15, talk begins at 19:15. Ticket includes a copy of the Eighty-Eight Vol.2 and entry to all current Design Museum exhibitions from 18:00.

Steven Watson is the founder and director of Stack, the subscription service that sends out a different independent magazine every month. Before starting Stack, Steve was an editorial director, working with brands like Google, easyJet and the World Economic Forum. Steve will be interviewing Jamie to kick-off the evening.
With Grammy, two Golden Globe, two GQ Man of the Year, three Brit, three Sony Radio and numerous other nominations and awards under his belt, Jamie Cullum comes to the museum to launch the Eighty-Eight. He is most successful UK jazz artist ever, having sold over 10 million albums worldwide.
