Pithy slogans pulled from social media memes and souvenir t-shirts form the centrepiece of Viktor & Rolf’s ‘fashion statements’ dresses.

Presented during haute couture season at last year’s Paris Fashion Week, the whole collection was made from eight kilometres of tulle and designed with layers of optic stripes that make sculptural silhouettes, a surreal backdrop to the seemingly unrelated statements.

The dresses proliferated across social media, becoming viral memes in their own right.
