The Design Museum asked the public what they would nominate as ‘good design’. The Crowd Sourced Wall at the beginning of the Designer Maker User gallery is a collection of those nominations. Senior Curator Alex Newson asks what is ‘good design’ and what would you nominate?

The Designer Maker User exhibition finishes with a look at the way in which making has changed over the last 170 years. Assistant Curator Maria McLintock takes us through the evolution of the making process and explores the human cost of manufacturing.

Guy Jeremiah went on Dragon's Den with his idea for a collapsible bottle and an accompanying app that meant you were never too far from getting a fresh drink of H2O. The dragons laughed off Guy's idea to replace single use plastics with his design. Now Guy has the last laugh....
Designer Anna Bullus was looking for inspiration in the most unlikely of places: kerbside litter. She examined random samples, looking at things like crisp packets and cigarette butts. She then tried to figure out which elements could be recycled.
"One of the litters I found was a piece of chewing gum and as a designer I was completely amazed there was nothing actually being done to recycle it," she said
