“Designed in California” is the new “Made in Italy”. While California’s mid-century modernism is well documented, this is the first exhibition to examine its current global reach. Picking up the story in the 1960s, the exhibition charts the journey from the counterculture to Silicon Valley’s tech culture. \#California
Breathing Colour by acclaimed Dutch designer Hella Jongerius, is an installation-based exhibition that takes a deeper look at the way colour behaves, exploring shapes, materials, shadows and reflections. \#BreathingColour
Young People's Workshop
Inspired by California: Designing Freedom, this digital design workshop explores the Maker Movement and how new ways of working through electronics, technology, hands-on making and concepts such as Tech for Good, are disrupting design in this ‘New Industrial Revolution’. Suitable for 12-16 year olds.
