Architecture, Propaganda, Revolution
Marking the centenary of the Russian Revolution, this exhibition explores Moscow as it was imagined by a bold new generation of architects and designers in the 1920s and early 1930s. \#ImagineMoscow
“Designed in California” is the new “Made in Italy”. While California’s mid-century modernism is well documented, this is the first exhibition to examine its current global reach. Picking up the story in the 1960s, the exhibition charts the journey from the counterculture to Silicon Valley’s tech culture. \#California
Ways of Life
Attendees joined architecture critic Owen Hatherley and philosopher Nina Power to explore Soviet communal architecture and the gender politics of the built environment. This event was in partnership with the Royal Academy.
