From London Bridge

15 minute walk south along the river Thames, past Tower Bridge.

From Tower Hill

15 minute walk across Tower Bridge, take the stairs on the south side of Tower Bridge down to Shad Thames street.

By public transport

By underground

District and Circle lines to Tower Hill or Northern and Jubilee lines to London Bridge.
Continue on foot.

By rail

Overground network to London Bridge or DLR to Tower Gateway [Tower Hill].
Continue on foot.

By bus

The following bus routes stop near to the Design Museum: 42, 47, 78, 188, 381 to Tooley Street 100 to Tower Gateway 225 to Jamaica Road RV1 to Tower Bridge.

By car

The museum does not have a car park, but there is a Q-Park car park on Gainsford Street [SE1 2NE] and parking meters on Maguire Street. There is a drop off point for coaches and cars in Maguire Street, but please note that this road is one-way and only suitable for single-deck coaches.
