The Sunday Sketch
Each month there is an expert illustrator on hand to lead you through a range of drawing activities in the Design Museum’s exhibitions, from architectural drawing to studies of objects in the collection. All abilities welcome.
Families are welcome all year round, and with regular events and activities on offer there are plenty of opportunities to be creative and to have fun exploring design together.
Discounted tickets for families are available to purchase online or at the museum.
Family One: £17.50 1 adult and up to 3 children (6–15)
Family Two: £25.75 Two adults and up to 3 children (6–15)
Children under the age of 6 year are free and seniors (60 years and over) receive 20% discount on entry every Wednesday.
self-guided family trails
Pick up a free trail upon arrival and discover design together as a family. They are available free of charge from the admissions desk and suitable for ages 5 to 11 years.
Pushchairs are welcome in the museum and all levels of the museum are fully accessible by lift. Baby changing facilities are available on the ground floor in both male and female toilets. The Design Museum aims to make access to design enjoyable and welcoming to the widest possible audience. Whether you’re taking part in the dedicated Access programme or just popping in for a visit, the museum does everything it can to make sure your experience is enjoyable.

The Design Museum will be closing at its current site on Thursday 30 June and will relocate to the former Commonwealth Institute building and opening on 24 November 2016. Follow the story.
