Beazley Designs of the Year Exhibition and Awards

Criteria for nomination

Each project selected for Beazley Designs of the Year is:

  • Design launched or designed in the period April 2016 to April 2017

  • Design that promotes or delivers change
    (from using new materials or processes to enabling new ways of living).

  • Design that captures the spirit of the time
    (from designs such as the London 2012 Olympic Torch, to a garment that embodies a current trend).

  • Design that enables access
    (from a website with excellent user experience to design that will improve lives).

  • Projects that have extended design practice
    (examples of best practice, works that seem to ‘stand out’ or signal the future for design).
