Discover key designs that have shaped the modern world and be inspired by this fascinating exhibition of memorable objects from the Design Museum Collection.
Six design stories offer a diverse look at design tracing the history and processes of contemporary design. The show includes furniture, product, fashion, transport and architecture alongside a selection of prototypes, models and specially commissioned films.
The exhibition will be on permanent display until 2015, with some elements being changed every year. Preview selected objects in the collection by downloading the Design Museum Collection App for iPad, free from iTunes.
The museum has the UK's only collection devoted exclusively to modern and contemporary design and architecture.

COLLECTION TOUCH TOURS | Extraordinary Stories about Ordinary Things
Join a Design Museum bi-monthly Touch Tour introducing visually impaired and blind visitors to the Design Museum Collection. Using a combination of verbal description and discussion, as well as direct touch of the museum’s handling collection, these engaging and fun sessions explore some of the themes and ideas presented in the exhibition in a friendly and informal setting.

BSL COLLECTION TOURS | Extraordinary Stories about Ordinary Things
Join a Design Museum staff member for a bi-monthly British Sign Language tour of the Design Museum Collection. These one hour tours take a diverse look at the history and processes of contemporary design, with particular focus on objects that have shaped the modern world.
