Designers in Residence

Designers In Residence is the museum's ongoing programme supporting emerging talent within the field of design. Working with the museum, emerging designers create site-specific installations on the ground floor of the museum. Throughout the residencies there will opportunities to meet the designers and obtain a unique insight into the design and development of their work.

Residency II - 27 January - 15 March 2010
Asif Khan
'Harvest' - A collection of native British plants have been manipulated by using the unique technique of plastination, presented in the Design Museum Tank until Tuesday 22 March.
Bethan Wood
'Particle' - Bethan has furnished the museum café with functional furniture made from recycled mass-produced material.
Farm (Giles Miller, Alexena Cayless, Guy Brown and Sebastian Hejna)
Farm Factory have converted the Atrium into a studio space and design salon to debate and reveal the hidden processes that link design, manufacturing and consumption.
