Workshop: Knit Your Own Balaclava

In this hands-on workshop, learn how to knit your own balaclava and immerse yourself in a knitwear pattern created by designer Peju Obasa.

What to expect

Discover how to read and follow knitwear patterns, practice stitches and basic sewing finishing techniques.

– How to use both circular knitting needles and straight knitting needles

– A couple of different knit stitches

– Basic sewing finishing techniques

Light refreshments, equipment and materials will be provided.


Peju Obasa

Obasa is a Womenswear designer specialising in knitwear and crochet, whose work takes influence from her vibrant Nigerian roots and old traditions in craftsmanship. The namesake womenswear and accessories label embraces printing and dyeing and tenacious knitting techniques to create innovative pieces. At the core of the brand is a conscious attitude towards sustainability and exploring materiality.
