Design, make and fly your own paper kite with bold colours, patterns and a positive climate message for all to see.

What to expect

In this hands-on workshop you will learn traditional kite making skills mastered in China and India using layered tissue paper to create your own unique design. Use bold patterns and fonts to create a flying kite placard, inspired by nature and the need to protect its delicate balance.

Facilitator

Haidée Drew

Haidée Drew is a designer maker and educator with a background in contemporary craft, trained in Metalwork at the RCA. Haidée’s Design and education projects celebrate traditional craft using making as a tool to empower, design and think creatively.
