Remote Digital Design Workshops

Book a 2hr digital remote session to get your class in 3D digital sculpting, photogrammetry or coding for adventure gaming.

Sessions are taught remotely by the Design Museum's digital educator for a class of up to 30 students.

What to expect

Choose from three 2hr workshops covering 3D Character design with digital sculpting, coding adventure games, and using Photogrammetry to create 3D digital objects.

Up-skill students to use free software with tangible outcomes that will empower and encourage further learning at home.

Duration: 2 hours

Capacity: up to 30 students

Price: £200 per workshop

Sessions are taught remotely by a digital design educator based at the Design Museum. Students will be expected to work from their own machines and a teacher will need to be present throughout the session in the room with students to ensure that safeguarding guidelines are met.

Workshops available

Character Design and Digital Sculpting

From Mario to modernity – how character development is key to designing 3D worlds. Students will learn sculpting skills using the Blender engine to build high quality 3D meshes based on their characters.

Code your own adventure

What is a non-linear narrative and coding develop how they are told? • Students will construct a basic story in Twine, using basic programming elements such as If statements, variables and other core components basic coding.

Photogrammetry – The Future of 3D

Philosophy to 3D – How 3D modelling uses Descartes to build digital objects. Students will explore the world of Photogrammetric Computer Vision Frameworks and will be upskilled to use Meshroom software to recreate a 3D digital model of a physical object.
