Emerging Designers Access Fund
Emerging Designers Access Fund gives free access to the museum’s programme – both events and exhibitions - to emerging designers who may face financial or other barriers to visiting the museum.
The Design Museum is committed to supporting the next generation of designers.
The Emerging Designers Access Fund was set up with seed funding from the sale of products in the Bombay Sapphire Supermarket – a project entitled Creativity is Essential which filled the museum's shop with essential items packaged in artworks created by 10 emerging artists.
The opportunity to register for the fund for free tickets is open to any practising designer, over the age of 18, who is in one of the following situations:
further education
higher education
within five years of leaving education
within five years of setting up a business
The Design Museum is actively seeking emerging designers who identify with one or more of the following under-represented audiences:
If you identify as part of an ethnic minority
If you are a carer or have grown up in care
If you have a disability
If you have a neurodivergence
If you have no family history of higher education
If you identify as LGBTQ+
If you were on free school meals or pupil premium when at school
