Learning Careers Event
Ardagh Young Creatives x Design Can
This is an opportunity for young people to ask the burning questions about what it’s really like to work within design and find out more about creative career paths.
We believe the design world isn’t as diverse as it could be, and we want to make a positive change. This opportunity is open to young people of colour, those with a neurodivergence or disability, those who access free school meal or pupil premium (or have done in the past), young carers, and those who are care experienced/care leavers.

Design Can is a non-profit which aims to shift the power balance in the creative industry to be more inclusive and representative. They do this by giving visibility to individuals, organisations and campaigns that contribute to making the design industry more inclusive. Design Can opens conversations around equity and inclusion and inspire industry leaders to commit and make their workplaces exemplars of the values they stand for.
Ardagh Young Creatives is a programme that supports young people who are underrepresented to build pathways into design. AYC aims to break down barriers through practical learning, tangible resources, skills development and mentoring. By fostering inclusive participation, it empowers young creatives to envision and shape a more equitable future inspired by the value of design to drive positive change.
