Design Ventura 2020
Design Ventura brings the business of design to life for students aged 13-16 by challenging them to develop a new, creative and commercially viable product for the Design Museum Shop. The project is a partnership between the Design Museum and Deutsche Bank’s global youth engagement programme, Born to Be.
Design Ventura 2020 saw more than 15,600 students from 270 schools register to take part. This display features the seven shortlisted product ideas from those participating schools. The winning team will work with professional designers to develop and manufacture their product for sale in the Design Museum Shop from Autumn 2021.
Design Ventura 2020 included an online mini-challenge for students aged 11-13, which received over 3,000 submissions from students across the country during lockdown. This year’s Design Ventura exhibition will also showcase illustrations of the top six ideas from this mini-challenge.
