Designers for our future selves 2.0
This second talk for the NEW OLD exhibition talk brings together Yves Behar, Paul Priestman and IDEO to discuss how design is shaping our futures.
As our population ages rapidly, this talk brings together designers at the vanguard of technology, design and innovation that are thinking about producing new design that can help people lead fuller, healthier and more rewarding lives into old age.
Speakers include:
IDEO: Juho Parviainen will discuss Artificial Intelligence, community wellness and how this can link with individuals to optimize their wellbeing.
Yves Behar: Yves will discuss his extraordinary work and how assisted robotics can make your more physically mobile.
Priestman Goode: How can design help you stay mobile for longer and keep you fitter? Paul Priestman will discuss the challenges that exist when designing for all ages.
These designers are featured in in NEW OLD at the Design Museum from the 12 January to 23 February 2017. The exhibition asks whether designers are ready to meet the challenge of a rapidly ageing society. Hosted and chaired by exhibition curator Jeremy Myerson and Helen Hamlyn Professor of Design at the Royal College of Art.
Speakers
Juho Parviainen believes in democratising technology, and making it work for people (rather than the other way round). Passionate about crafting better, and more delightful everyday products and services, Juho has spent more than a decade leading digital design across sectors including retail, gaming, and telecoms.
