From stacking shelves at Habitat in his teens to actively leading the design team at Studio Conran, Sebastian Conran’s life has been focused on understanding how things are made, sold, and used. He has seen many thousands of successful & enduring products through from concept to consumer, from homeware collections to companion robots.

Sebastian studied Industrial Design Engineering at Central St. Martins; where he gave the Sex Pistols their first booking, and designed the record sleeves, posters, and clothing for The Clash. In 1978 he joined corporate identity consultancy Wolff Olins, in 1981 he led hard-goods development at Mothercare before founding Sebastian Conran Associates in 1986.

Sebastian's mechanically ingenious work has received many accolades and awards for design & innovation, as well as being granted dozens of patents in a variety of industries. Members of The Design Circle are invited to join us for an insight into his work.
